Throughout her career, Liz Reinhardt has worked with nonprofit organizations, including nonprofit corporations, charitable trusts, and religious organizations, as a lawyer, regulator, advocate, consultant, educator and board member. Her practice includes business, consumer, contract, employment, litigation, and real estate matters and she serves a number of her nonprofit clients as 'out sourced' in-house counsel. She consults in areas including the roles and responsibilities of board members, governance best practices, conflict of interest avoidance, executive compensation, fundraising and regulatory compliance.

A graduate of Colby College and the Northeastern University School of Law, for eight years she served as an Assistant Attorney General in the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Division of Public Charities. She is the author of Payments in Lieu of Taxes (PILOTS): A Battleground for Cities and Nonprofits, Nonprofit Law (MCLE, Inc. 2011); Getting Going Getting Organized: Threshold Considerations and a Road Map for Start-Up Nonprofits, Chapter 1, MCLE Nonprofit Law Conference 2001(2001-04.06-CM) and co-authored “Guide for Board Members, Regulators and Advocates” (2000) Kellogg Foundation Healthcare Conversions Information Project. Past and present professional and community affiliations include the Attorney General’s Division of Public Charities Advisory Committee; Crossroads Community Foundation, Board of Advisors; President, Acton Boxborough United Way; Coach, Massachusetts Bar Association Mock Trial program; Instructor, Director Business School; Member, Massachusetts Bar Association and North Middlesex Bar Association. A frequent public speaker, she maintains a law office in Concord, Massachusetts.
