Jonathan R. Reuman is a senior Human Resources professional and provides HR management consulting and coaching services to nonprofit organizations in affiliation with Hurwit & Associates.

Jon has thirty years of HR experience in the nonprofit and for-profit sectors, including more than ten years as Vice President of Human Resources at leading healthcare provider Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates and human service organizations May Institute and Vinfen. In these leadership roles, Jon has been responsible for formulating and executing the HR strategies and operating plans that ensure these organizations continuously develop as workplaces of choice known for attracting, developing and retaining the best nonprofit talent. He started his consulting practice in 2012 and now taps into this extensive earlier background as an in-house HR practitioner.

Jon has provided HR coaching and management consulting to a variety of nonprofit organizations, including Franciscan Children's Hospital, Horizons for Homeless Children, Brockton Area Multi-Services, Inc., Year Up, and National Fire Protection Association.

He also has significant HR experience in global technology and financial services, gained early in his career while at Digital Equipment Corporation / Compaq Computers and at Bank of New England.

Jon has managed every component of HR, including talent acquisition, employee development and retention, organizational development and learning, employee engagement, organizational effectiveness and continuous improvement, diversity and inclusion, compensation, benefits and employee recognition, employee relations and labor relations, HR information systems, employee communications and employee safety.

My focus is to identify opportunities and collaborate with clients in designing and developing strategies, programs and tactics that measurably raise HR's impact on a nonprofit's core mission and outcomes".

Jon has an MBA in Organizational Behavior from Boston University and a BA in Biology and Psychology from Middlebury College. He is a Senior Certified Professional (SCP) though the Society for HR Management and a Senior Professional in HR (SPHR) through the HR Certification Institute. He is a member of the HR Leadership Forum, the Society for HR Management and the New England HR Association.
